Two Piedmont College students struck by a vehicle while running

DEMOREST – Two female Piedmont College students were taken by ambulance after being struck by a vehicle Sunday night.

The two were part of a group of four students who were running north toward Demorest along Central Avenue when they were struck by a southbound minivan in the area of Yonah Memorial Gardens.

The incident occurred just after 6:15 p.m. Those hurt were taken to Habersham Medical Center for treatment of what officials termed non-life-threatening injuries.
