Mattie's Call issued for missing White Co. manBy B.J. Williams Editor CLEVELAND - White County authorities said they have located a vehicle believed to belong to a man who is the subject of a Mattie's Call.
The vehicle was found in Union County, but as of 11:15 a.m., authorities had not found Allen Richard "Dick" Arnold. Arnold is described as an 86-year-old white male who suffers from slight dementia, according to Cami Downey, a dispatch supervisor with White County 9-1-1. Arnold was last seen around 2 p.m. in a white 2004 Jeep Liberty with flowers on the top of it. Downey said the tag number is WV4860. "He was wearing a blue T-shirt with a large purple heart, and it says Purple Heart World War II on it," said Downey. Anyone who sees Arnold is asked to call 9-1-1 or to contact White County authorities at 706-865-0911. Authorities cancelled the Mattie's Call for Mr. Arnold, although they are releasing no details on the missing man's condition. An updated story will be posted. © Copyright 2013 AccessNorthGa.com
