GAINESVILLE - Ever seen a shootout using "finger" guns?

Led by Cirque du Soleil clown Noah Bremer, the award-winning, Minneapolis-based ensemble Live Action Set will perform The 7-Shot Symphony January 18-20 at the Buford Community Center, the second show of the Gainesville Theatre Alliance's (GTA) SouthernStage season at the venue.

Using what's described as "fantastical" physical movement, the group uses "insane" creativity and live bluegrass music to meld the classic Spaghetti western and some of the greatest myths from around the world.

Famous mythological characters (ie: Gilgamesh, Orpheus, and Hades) become sheriffs, outlaws, gun smiths, and saloon piano players. Witness this story of love, action, legend and corruption, all told without set or props, only the actors, their bodies and their creativity. School matinees will be performed on January 16 & 17.

Tickets are $10-18 depending on age, and Buford Rush Tickets ($9) will be available at the box office to patrons with a Buford address on their picture ID an hour before the show.

Patrons can also select their own seats online at www.gainesvilleTHEATREalliance.org or by calling the Box Office at 678-717-3624, Monday - Friday from 10am to 4pm. MasterCard, Visa and Discover are accepted. Group discounts (20% for 12 or more people) and ADA seating can be arranged through the GTA Box Office.
