The Lakeview girls basketball team held off a furious Lumpkin County rally and held on for a 50-43 win on Friday.
The Lady Lions (3-1) led by 12 points heading into the fourth, but the Lady Indians -- led by Morgan Wood's 15 fourth quarter points -- pulled within three points before Lakeview held on for the win.
The Lady Lions' Daniele Morgan scored eight points in the fourth to finish with 17. Schyler Miller added 10.
Wood led the Lady Indians with 17, Dakota Sullens added 12, and Lacey Robinson chipped in with eight points and 15 rebounds.
Lumpkin travels to face Dawson County on Saturday.
Lakeview will play host to Commerce on Saturday.
