Charity Ball set for Dec. 8

GAINESVILLE - Music, food, dancing and belles will combine to benefit the Gainesville community at the 61st annual Charity Ball early next month.

Sponsored by the Junior League of Gainesville-Hall County, the Charity Ball is scheduled for 8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, at Chattahoochee Country Club. The event will feature music by Ascension, heavy hors d‘oeuvres and more.

As one of the League's major fundraisers, proceeds from the Charity Ball allow the Junior League to provide volunteer hours and financial assistance to programs and agencies geared toward making Gainesville-Hall County a better place for women and children.

This year, six local civic groups are sponsoring belle candidates who are already raising money for the community on behalf of Junior League. The candidate who raises the most money will be crowned Belle of the Ball at midnight on Dec. 8.

Donations in support of the belle candidates may be made online at www.gainesvillehalljuniorleague.org or by calling the League office at (770) 535-1951. In addition, ticket purchases may go to support any belle candidate. Please specify your choice at the time of purchase. Tickets are $75 per person and $125 per couple.
