Orphaned TN children come to area family
AUBURN - A Gwinnett County man and his family will now be caring for his sister's three orphaned children according to myfoxatlanta.com.
Robert Marshall of Auburn has taken in his sister's three children after she was killed in a fire at the family's Tennessee farmhouse on Monday.
According to myfoxatlanta.com, Marshall's sister, Kristina Kallstrom, rescued her three children-- ages 5, 8 and 12-- from the fire, but she did not survive herself.
Marshall told Fox5 News that his sister had just gone back to college to become a music teacher following the death of her husband from a heart attack in August.
In the Fox5 interview Marshall said that the three children have nothing left but the pajamas they were wearing at the time of the fire.
Marshall and his wife have two children of their own and he says that they will need everything from beds to a vehicle large enough to transport the new family of seven according to the Fox5 News report.
