Pageant of Hope coming to WinderBy Ken Stanford Staff WINDER - The Pageant of Hope is coming to Winder Sunday to give children and teens fighting serious illnesses the chance to be a "prince" or "princess" for a day.
Jena Sims, 2007 Miss Georgia Teen USA, brings her nonprofit organization, HBBQs, Inc., back to Winder to host the event. This noncompetitive pageant will feature 15 volunteers, (including four national queens, two American Idol finalists, and a professional make-up artist) and 36 participants. The pageant will last from 2:00-4:00 at the Colleen O. Williams Theater, Winder Cultural Arts Center, on East Athens Street.
