ATLANTA - The family of the Winder boy critically injured by a falling tree limb last month said he could begin rehabilitation soon.
Family members told Fox 5 that two year old Tripp Halstead could be moved to another hospital this week to begin rehab.
Tripp's father, Bill, told Fox 5 it was tough to hear that a CAT scan showed the toddler had a severe brain injury.
"We kind of expected to hear that news, but it hurt to hear it," Bill Halstead said.
He told Fox 5 they did hear from a survivor who gave them words of encouragement.
"She gave us a great testament to the miracle of the brain and the power of prayers from people who were there for her. We hold out hope that we also get that miracle."
