ROSWELL -- White County football couldn't avenge an earlier loss to Blessed Trinity on Friday night, falling 35-14 in the first round of the Class AAA playoffs in Roswell.

The Warriors (7-4) had plenty of opportunities but couldn't overcome a determined Titans defense that three times held inside its own 20-yard line.

Blessed Trinity (9-2) needed a full quarter to grab the lead, but once Carter McManes broke through on a three-yard run in the second quarter, the Titans never surrendered their advantage on the scoreboard.

White County scored midway through the third quarter -- quarterback Will Brock finding Andrew Bergin on a 13-yard touchdown pass -- pulling within 14-6 after a botched PAT.

But Blessed Trinity responded with back-to-back scores to pull away for good.

Brock also hit Maurice Sutton for a 15-yard score late in the third quarter -- part of an 11 for 20 night through the air. The senior signal caller finished with 194 yards, two scores and an interception and also rushed for 19 yards. Sutton proved his top target with four catches for 67 yards and a score. Coley Loudermilk also caught three passes for 61 yards, while Bergin had three catches for 51 yards and a score.

Loudermilk also led White County's ground game with 47 yards on five carries.

The loss brought the Warriors season to an end. Blessed Trinity moves on to face Cartersville in the second round.
