Rabun County authorities bust four for multiple burglaries

CLAYTON – Four people remained in the Rabun County Detention Center Thursday afternoon, charged in connection with more than a dozen burglaries in that county.
Sheriff Frank Andrews said that between Nov. 8 and Nov. 13, his office began investigating a series of 14 burglaries that occurred in areas of Rabun County, including Bear Gap, Bridge Creek, Crow Creek, Davis Gap, Dillard, Lake Rabun community, Murray Cove, and Plum Orchard.
The sheriff’s office, in cooperation with Mountain Patrol, Mountain Lakes Security, Clayton Police Department, and Dillard Police Department began an investigation to identify those responsible for the crimes.
On Monday, Nov. 12, investigators from Rabun County Sheriff’s Office responded to a burglary in Dillard, collecting evidence that led to the arrest of 23-year-old Jessica Morgan Bleckley of Clayton.
Further investigation led officers to Knights Inn in Dillard early Tuesday morning, Nov. 13.
There, investigators located stolen property, a firearm, and a quantity of methamphetamine packaged for distribution.
Arrested as a result of that discovery were 29-year-old William Paul Taylor of Tiger and 22-year-old Joseph Ryan Suder of Clayton.
Subsequently, 17-year-old Andrew Derrick McCrackin of Clayton also was arrested.
Bleckley is charged with 12 counts of burglary, two counts of theft by deception, and one count of criminal attempt to commit a felony. Bond has been set at $73,500.
Taylor is charged with 11 counts of burglary, and one count each of criminal attempt to commit a felony, illegal possession of a controlled substance, possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of a firearm or knife during the commission of a felony, and receipt, possession or transfer of a firearm by a convicted felon or felony first offender. Bond has been set at $87,000.
Suder is charged with two counts of party to a crime, possession of a firearm or knife during the commmission of a felony, possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, and illegal possession of a controlled substance. Bond has been set at $27,500.
McCrackin is charged with two counts of party to a crime. Bond has been set at $12,000.
The investigation is continuing.
