Fire damages home, displaces family in Buford
BUFORD - No one was injured in a Buford house fire Thursday morning that left the residence heavily damaged.
According to Gwinnett County Fire Lt. Colin Rhoden, authorities responded to a call of a fire in the 3100 block of Seneca Farm Lane just after 10 Thursday morning to find the home's second floor heavily involved.
"The bonus room above the garage and also the attic sustained heavy fire damage," Rhoden said.
Once the fire was contained, according to authorities, precautions were taken by firefighters to preserve the undamaged parts of the home.
The cause of the blaze is undetermined at this time.
Six people were displaced as a result of the fire, including three children however, Red Cross was not called in to assist.
