Gainesville lunch hour traffic snarls

UNDATED - Motorists reported a tree down on Jim Hood Road, in Hall County Monday afternoon; in addition, a stalled tractor trailer reportedly blocked lanes of Green Street near the U.S. Post Office for a time.

The tree was blocking both lanes of the roadway near Mount Vernon Elementary School, causing traffic delays in the area.

Gainesville authorities did not have information on how much of Green Street was blocked by the big rig.

Hall County emergency officials had neither incident still working in their response system as of 1:50 p.m.
