GAINESVILLE - The Gainesville State College (GSC) School of Social Sciences will host a domestic violence event, "In Her Own Words: A Story of Survival" later this week.

“Grace” will share her story with students, faculty and staff Wednesday at 11:00 in the Martha T. Nesbitt Building Room 3110-B.

In addition, GSC’s third annual Clothesline Project as well as student posters focusing on violence against women in the media will be on display on the first floor of the Nesbitt Building. In the past, the Clothesline Project has featured displays of t-shirts decorated by GSC students honoring victims and survivors of domestic violence as well as telling their own stories anonymously.
