BUFORD - According to Gwinnett County authorities The Country Store on Main Street in Buford was burglarized sometime between 9:30 PM on October 15th and 7:20 AM the next morning.
Entry into the store was gained through the front door.
The suspect stole about $1500 worth of cigarettes and several scratch-off lottery tickets.
The owner of the business contacted Georgia Lottery officials to notify them of the theft of tickets.
Georgia Lottery officials were able to tell the responding officer that some of the stolen tickets had been cashed at a nearby Chevron gas station.
That officer went to the second store and viewed security footage of a person turning in the stolen lottery tickets, worth approximately $10, shortly before the burglary at the Country Store was discovered.
The suspect on video is a white male, approximately 5’10” and 180 lbs. and is believed to be the driver of a red pickup truck.
