Gainesville Park and Rec Trick or Treat event Saturday

GAINESVILLE - The 2nd Annual Gainesville Parks and Recreation Trick of Treat on the Trail is scheduled Saturday.

The event moves to a new location on the Midtown Greenway, 682 Grove Street behind the Public Safety Complex. The trick or treat is free and runs from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

You can enter off Queen City Parkway at Banks Street or off Jesse Jewell Parkway with a turn onto Main Street and right on Banks Street.

Organizers said house fronts lining the trail will give children the feeling of going door to door. There will be candy, a petting zoo, a costume contest and games.

Bring a canned food item for the Georgia Mountain Food Bank.
