NGTC photography instructor wins best in showBy Ken Stanford Staff CLARKESVILLE - Out of “A Hundred Beautiful Things,” Jeff Gulle’s image of Skylake, took Best in Show at the recent American Photographic Artist 2012 Pushpin Exhibition in Atlanta. The exhibit was held in conjunction with Atlanta Celebrates Photography.
“This is the second year that I have entered this exhibition,” said Gulle. “I was pleased they chose this image because it was my favorite as well.” APA|Atlanta's (American Photographic Artists, Atlanta) goal is to establish, endorse and promote professional practices, standards and ethics in the photographic and advertising community. The organization seeks to mentor, motivate, educate and inspire in the pursuit of excellence. The aim is to champion and speak as one common voice for advertising photographers and image makers to the advertising industry in the United States and the World. “We appreciate Jeff’s submissions,” said APA/Atlanta Director Callie Householder. “It’s a great way for us to showcase our talented members.” When congratulating Mr. Gulle, she noted that the judges’ decision was unanimous. Gulle is an instructor for North Georgia Technical College’s (NGTC) Photography program. He and his wife, Sandy, live in Skylake in White County.
