Big Red Apple Festival draws thousands to CorneliaBy Rob Moore Editor

CORNELIA – Thousands made their way to downtown Cornelia Saturday for the 25th-annual Big Red Apple Festival.
The event kicked off Friday night with a concert by Sol Junky at the Cornelia Depot. Saturday’s festivities started with the Big Red Apple 5K and Fun Run, starting and ending at Cornelia Elementary School. Other activities included arts and crafts vendors, food, the Crabapple Kids’ Zone, live entertainment, hayrides to the historic Chenocetah Tower, the Habersham Central High School Key Club Car Shhow, the Apple Walk, Big Red Apple Festival Horseshoe Tournament, and the Circle of Hope Walk a Mile in Her Shoes awareness event. © Copyright 2013 AccessNorthGa.com
