New DOT Highway Maintenance Foreman for I-85/Jackson Co.
GAINESVILLE - Georgia Department of Transportation District Engineer Bayne Smith, Jr. says James “Bradley” Veal, a Franklin County Native and Carnesville resident, is now DOT’s Highway Maintenance Foreman for the Interstate 85 – Jackson County Maintenance Crew.
Veal has worked with DOT since 2005. He has served in the Maintenance Division throughout his entire career. He worked his way up serving as an Equipment Operator One, Two and Three. Then he served as Maintenance Equipment Operator and was the Assistant Foreman. Veal is responsible for all lanes of state routes and Interstate 85 in Jackson County. He began this new position October 1.
“Bradley is the kind of hard working, conscientious employee that we need to ensure the safety of our roadways. He is an asset to the Department and to the people of Georgia,” concluded Smith.
Bradley and his wife Jenny are the parents of four children; Kristen – 17, Breann – 14, Tyler – 12 and Bethany – 8.
