Union County overpowers Riverside in Blairsville, 41-13

BLAIRSVILLE -- Union County stormed to its fifth victory of the season, pounding Riverside Military 41-13 on Friday in Blairsville.

Panthers quarterback T Bentley put up four touchdowns in the win, rushing for two and passing for two more, while Jonathan Hughes added a scoring run and a touchdown catch.

Nick Whittle also scored on a 49-yard run for Union County (5-1, 2-1 Region 8-AA) with five seconds remaining.

The Eagles remained winless on the season at 0-6, 0-4 Region 8-AA.

Riverside will look to bounce back next Friday at Social Circle.

Union County will travel to face Greene County next week.
