Softball: Banks split doubleheader; Dawson Co., Jackson Co. sweep

ROSWELL -- Dawson County swept a doubleheader with Woodward Academy on Wednesday in the first round of the Class AAA state softball playoffs.

Dawson County came in as the No. 3 seed from Region 7-AAA.

Meanwhile, Banks County also split a doubleheader with Blessed Trinity on Wednesday, while Jackson County defeated Cartersville in the first round 4-0, 6-4. The Lady Panthers will take on Fannin County in round two.
