Trial underway in Wheeler caseBy Derreck Booth Editor GAINESVILLE - A 49 year old man is on trial in Hall County Superior Court this week in a case from last year involving a 15-year-old girl.
According to Hall County District Attorney Lee Darragh, a jury in the case of Weyman Edward Wheeler was seated Monday. Wheeler is on trial facing counts of aggravated child molestation, child molestation, statutory rape and enticing a child for indecent purposes. Hall County deputies arrested Wheeler a year ago in May. At the time, authorities said Wheeler had been involved in a consensual sexual relationship with the 15 year old. Judge Kathleen Gosselin is presiding over the case. Wheeler is represented by attorney Dan Summer. Assistant DA Juliet Aldridge is handling prosecution. © Copyright 2013 AccessNorthGa.com
