Verizon 4G LTE network expanding into more of Gainesville area market
ALPHARETTA - Verizon Wireless says customers in more of the Gainesville area will soon be able to tap into its 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE) network. The company plans to expand the service into Dawson, Lumpkin and White counties next Thursday.
With the new and expanded markets, the service will be available in 417 markets across the country, surpassing its goal to cover 400 markets by the end of theyear.
It is currently available in Gainesville, Buford, Oakwood, Clermont, Murrayville and Flowery Branch.
“With our 4G LTE network, customers can take advantage of the speed offered by our 4G LTE devices and the innovative solutions that leverage 4G LTE technology to enhance connectivity,” said Jonathan LeCompte, president – Georgia/Alabama region for Verizon Wireless. “Our aggressive 4G LTE deployment strategy has enabled us to provide customers with the best wireless data experience possible, and we will continue to strengthen and expand our network to provide consistently outstanding 4G LTE speeds.”
