Bridge dedication planned next weekBy Ken Stanford Staff GAINESVILLE - The dedication of the new pedestrian bridge over Jesse Jewell Parkway in downtown Gainesville is scheduled for Tuesday.
The bridge, which connects downtown with midtown, officially opened last month following construction delays which had pushed back the opening. (See separate story.) The dedication ceremony will be held at 3:30 on the City View side (old public safety building side) of Jewell Parkway.
