DECATUR - The widow of an entrepreneur gunned down outside a suburban Atlanta preschool in 2010 pleaded not guilty Monday to charges related to her husband's death.

Andrea Sneiderman appeared at an arraignment hearing in DeKalb County Superior Court, where one of her lawyers entered the not guilty plea. She faces a variety of charges, including malice murder and criminal attempt to commit murder.

Sneiderman smiled and spoke quietly with her lawyers before Monday's hearing but did not address the court.

She was arrested in August and accused of conspiring with her former boss, Hemy Neuman, to kill her husband, Dunwoody businessman Russell ``Rusty'' Sneiderman. He was gunned down in November 2010 shortly after dropping off the couple's son at preschool.

Neuman admitted to the killing and was sentenced in March to life in prison.

Prosecutors have alleged Sneiderman was having an affair with Neuman and conspired with him to kill her husband in part to collect $2 million in life insurance policies. She has denied an affair and has denied involvement in the slaying.

She was released on bond but placed under house arrest in late August. She has been living with her parents in Roswell.

DeKalb County Superior Court Judge Gregory Adams gave lawyers until Dec. 7 to submit motions in the case and said he would set a trial date after that.
