North Hall rolls over East Hall, 60-12
RABBITTOWN -- To say that North Hall has found its rhythm might be the biggest understatement of the season.
One week after hammering Dawson County, the Trojans pounded another Region 7-AAA foe, this time overpowering East Hall 60-12 on Friday in Rabbittown.
North Hall (4-1, 2-0 Region 7-AAA) rushed for 415 yards, averaging 7.3 yards per carry in the process, as they sprinted to a 44-0 lead and never looked back.
Quarterback Bradley Brown helped lead the assault, rumbling to 144 yards and three touchdowns. Fellow signal caller Andrew Smith also rushed for 82 yards, as 10 different Trojans rushed for positive yardage on the night. Smith also finished 3-of-3 through the air with a touchdown.
Meanwhile, the North Hall defense smothered East Hall for much of the contest, allowing just 127 total yards.
The Vikings did get a 91-yard kickoff return from Milton Welchel, but the score couldn't turn the tide on a North Hall team that has outscored its two region foes 107-26 so far.
North Hall put the contest out of reach in the second quarter. Leading 6-0, the Trojans rattled off 38 unanswered points, including a punt block for a touchdown, to take a 44-0 advantage.
The Trojans will play host to Fannin County next Friday.
East Hall (2-4, 0-3) will take a bye next week before playing host to West Hall on Oct. 19.
