Downtown Gainesville Farmers Market ends for the year

GAINESVILLE - The Historic Downtown Gainesville Farmers Market closes for the season Friday.

The market has been open from 2:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. every Friday since the first Friday in June on the corner of Main Street and Spring Street.

The downtown farmers market is a recent spinoff of the Hall County's Farmers Market, which first opened in 1973.

The Hall County Farmers Market will remain open through the end of this month.
