Volleyball: East Hall sweeps, JHS splits

OAKWOOD -- Class AAA No. 8 East Hall improved to 24-12 after taking wins over Johnson and Jackson County while JOhnson split a pair of matches at the Johnsoon gym Thursday.

The Lady Vikings rallie from a set down to beat Johnson 9-25, 25-21, 25-23 and then held off Jackson County 25-18, 25-16.

Brittney Campbell paced East Hall with 21 points on serve, 11 digs, two kills, and 22 assists. Kara Hix had four kills and 36 digs and Tarryn Long had 14 kills and 15 digs for the Lady Vikings.

TT Shelton had 16 kills, six assists, two blocks and three digs, Emily Roberts had two kills and four digs, Allyson Segars added three kills, and Savannah Lindsey had 5 digs for East Hall.

Johnson rebounded from its loss to East Hall by beating Jackson County 25-17, 25-11.

Savannah Turk had two aces, three kills, and seven digs and Lejavian Ratliff had 12 kills and 8 digs for the Lady Knights. Kari's Sloan added six kills and two blocks, Lindsey Anderson had two kills and 10 digs, and Kelly Chance had five aces and nine assists for East Hall.

Heather Luc added five aces and Christina Petit had five aces and two kills for the Lady Knights.
