Junior League Thrift Sale set for Sat.; early shopping, Preview Party tonight
GAINESVILLE – The Junior League of Gainesville-Hall County is set to host Hall County’s largest garage sale.
The annual Thrift Sale is Saturday from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Georgia Mountains Center. Admission is $1.
The Mountains Center arena will be filled with items ranging from furniture, electronics and housewares to toys and children's clothing.
“This annual fundraiser raises money for the nonprofit organizations the Junior League supports, and it provides the community with the opportunity to shop for some great items at really affordable prices,” said Leslie Miller, 2012 Thrift Sale co-chair. “All proceeds from the sale go back into the community.”
Those who want first pick of the items can shop early from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Mountains Center. Tickets for early shopping are $5, and all items are double priced.
Once early shopping ends, the League will have its annual Preview Party at the “Stables” at Recess from 8 p.m. until 10:30 p.m. Tickets to the event are $15 at the door and include food and entertainment.
All transactions are cash only, and shoppers are asked to not bring shopping bags or strollers.
