Rebels end streak with win over West Hall

OAKWOOD – Fannin County snapped a seven-game losing streak going back to last season with a 31-8 Region 7-AAA win over West Hall Friday night at Spartans Stadium.
The Rebels (1-4, 1-1 in region) also snapped a two-game win streak for West Hall (2-3, 1-1) in the process.
West Hall had little answer for Peyton Satterfield, who ran for 162 yards for Fannin County. Trevor Stone gave the Rebels’ offense balance passing for 117 yards and three touchdowns and he also ran for two scores.
West Hall was its own worst enemy with three turnovers to stop drives. The Spartans were held to just 239 yards of offense and did not score until the final 29 seconds of the game on a 6-yard TD pass from Zach English to Keith McCroan.
Isaih Rowe led West Hall with 63 yards rushing while Chase Jarrard paced the Spartans with 58 yards receiving. English finished with 110 yards passing.
