CONYERS -- They may be Falcons, but they certainly don't mind doing things on the ground.

Flowery Branch rolled up 221 yards rushing en route to a 35-14 defeat of Salem on Friday night in Conyers.

The Falcons (3-2, 3-0 Region 8-AAAAA) were led by 103 yards and two touchdowns on 10 carries from quarterback Jackson McDonald. Just Curry also carried 11 times for 69 yards, as the visitors pulled ahead 35-0 in the third quarter.

McDonald also passed for 79 yards, completing 5 of 12 attempts for three scores -- one each to Cameron Davis, Jamaad Stephens (two catches, 53 yards) and Davante King.

Flowery Branch will look to keep rolling next week when it travels to face Apalachee.
