GAINESVILLE - Hall County Tax Commissioner Keith Echols said Friday that property tax bills will be in the mail no later than Saturday for all property owners in the county.

Echols said his office mailed slightly more than 86,000 bills this year.

He noted that if property owners do not receive a bill in the mail by October 20, they should call the tax commissioner's office at 770-531-6950.

Echols said that sometimes bills are misdelivered, especially if a property owner has changed addresses at some point during the year. He said the burden to pay the tax bill on time, however, is the responsibility of the property owner.

Tax bills are due December 1, 2012.
