AUBURN - A pastor of a Buford church was arrested Tuesday for child molestation in an incident that occurred approximately four years ago in Barrow County.
"The Criminal Investigations Division arrested and charged Mr. Henry Ellis Lackey with one count of enticing a child for indecent purposes, one count of child molestation and one count of aggravated sodomy," said Auburn Police Lt. Michael Fugett.
Fugett said 59-year-old Lackey, an Auburn resident, was serving as a pastor at the Free Will Pentecostal Church in Buford at the time of the arrest.
He said an investigation was launched in early September after the victim came forward.
"The child was 10 years old at the time and resided in the same neighborhood as Mr. Lackey," said Fugett.
He said it's unknown whether or not there are additional victims in the case.
