Softball: Jefferson falls 1-0 in regular season finale

BOGART -- The Jefferson softball team suffered a 1-0 shutout defeat at North Oconee on Monday in Bogart to wrap its regular season.

The Lady Dragons (14-14) were led by a strong pitching performance from Morgan McKinney, who allowed just one run while scattering seven hits and striking out three. McKinney also recoded the only hit for Jefferson on the night.

The Lady Dragons will begin play in the Region 8-AA tournament on Saturday in Jefferson in the second round of the tournament. Jefferson is the No. 2 seed for the tournament.
