Volleyball: Jefferson rallies to take silver bracket at Ampest Spikefest tourney

JEFFERSON -- Jefferson dropped its first match of the day but rallied for three consecutive wins to claim the silver bracket at the Ampest Spikefest volleyball tournament Saturday.

The Lady Dragons lost to Houston County 25-18, 25-11 in the opening match but then whipped AR Johnson (25-8, 25-16), Mt. Zion (25-21, 25-11) and Warner Robins (25-15, 25-21) in the final three matches of the day.

Sarah Wood had 46 kills to lead Jefferson to the wins. Grace Williamson added 31 assists and 14 aces for the Lady Dragons.
