Volleyball: Lady Knights split with Jefferson, Flowery Branch

The Johnson volleyball team split matches with Jefferson and Flowery Branch on Thursday night, falling to Jefferson but defeating Flowery Branch.

The Lady Dragons earned a three-set win 21-25, 25-21, 25-14 despite a seven block, five dig performance from Johnson's Savannah Turk. Karis Sloan also had six kills and one-and-a-half blocks for the Lady Knights (17-6), while Lejavian Ratliff added six kills and nine digs, and Kelly Chance had nine assists.

Johnson swept the Lady Falcons in the second match 25-16, 25-13, with Chance putting up 10 aces and five digs, Lindsey Anderson also had six digs, while Ratliff provided three kills.

Johnson will play again Saturday at the Battle of the Branch at Flowery Branch High.
