Softball: Hildebrant drives West Hall past North Hall

OAKWOOD -- Beth Hildebrant put up a senior night to remember on Wednesday.

The West Hall softball standout sparked the Lady Spartans' 11-7 defeat of North Hall in Oakwood, driving in six runs -- including the winning margin in grand fashion.

With the game tied at 7-7 in the sixth inning, Hildebrant crushed a grand slam home run to put West Hall (9-13, 1-5 Region 7-AAA) ahead for good. She also had a triple during the win.

Carleigh Hulsey earned the win in the pitching circle for the Lady Spartans, tossing a complete game.

Meanwhile, Ashley Neal also had a big night at the plate for West Hall, going 3-for-3.

The Lady Spartans travel to face Dawson County on Thursday.
