Local lawmakers to discuss issues ahead of 2013 session

BUFORD - Local legislators will attend the first organizational meeting of the Lake Lanier Legislative Caucus Tuesday to discuss issues they hope to address in the upcoming 2013 legislative session.

Items to be discussed include water lake levels, recent drownings, Georgia Department of Natural Resources budget funding, boating under the influence laws, water court rulings and filings and other issues.

The event will be held at 4 p.m. at the Buford Community Center and is open to the public.
