Falling tree knocks out power in west Gainesville

GAINESVILLE - Hall County authorities said a falling tree disrupted power service to some Georgia Power customers in west Gainesville Monday afternoon.

They said the tree fell onto power lines in the area of Gould Drive at McEver Road around 4:30 p.m.

Authorities said it's unclear how many customers were without power or when power would be restored.
