Softball: Jefferson keeps win streak going

JEFFERSON The Jefferson girls softball team pushed its longest winning streak of the season to four games Thursday after beating Union County 3-2 in eight innings.

The Lady Dragons won the game with an unearned run in the eighth inning.

Morgan McKinney went the distance for Jefferson scattering five hits and allowing just one earned run. She struck out five.

Erin Jackson had three hits and two RBI to lead the Jefferson offense. Meagan Faulkner had two hits for the Lady Dragons.

Madison Rich, Hannah Hughes, Courtney Busbee, Carly Adams, and Allie Stroman each had one hit for Union County. Hughes had both RBI for the Lady Panthers.
