CLARKESVILLE - Habersham County-based Initials, Inc., a party plan company that offers a premier line of handbags, organizers and accessories, recently announced the launch of its new charitable foundation called "iCare."

Company executives said the company each year will donate a portion of the proceeds from the sale of iCare products to help support people who have chosen to make a difference somewhere in the world. The first Initials, Inc. iCare Foundation recipient will be Katherine Roberts, a registered nurse and community developer working to help the disabled in Zambia.

"When we talked to Katherine, we were so impressed by her love for those who live in rural Africa where she volunteers," said Britney Vickery, President of Initials, Inc. "She has chosen to make a real difference with her life, and we can't think of anyone who pursues our motto, 'There's only one you,' with more dedication."

“In Africa, those with disabilities are disregarded, so Roberts helps the disabled earn respect as well as a living by teaching them how to sew. The money we raise will help Katherine build a sewing center so more people can learn this valuable and life-affirming skill," said Initials, Inc. Executive Vice President Ivy Hall.

From August 2012 through January 2013, Initials, Inc. will donate a portion of proceeds from specific items generated through home party sales to help Roberts build the sewing center.

Earlier this summer, Initials, Inc. was ranked at number 1,555 on the INC. 5000 list of America’s Fastest Growing Private Companies; the company ranked 77 nationwide in the retail category.

Initials, Inc. is a fashion handbag and home organization company that offers products through in-home parties. The company was launched by sisters Ivy Hall and Britney Vickery in early 2005 as a way for these then stay-at-home moms to supplement the family income but keep family first. Today, Initials, Inc. is represented by thousands of consultants in all 50 states.

With growth recognized by INC. at 300%, the company has no plans to slow down.

“Our goal is to continue growing in a robust way,” said Vickery.
