Lawrenceville man wanted in the stabbing death of his mother, arrestedBy Katie Davis Staff LAWRENCEVILLE - Gwinnett County police say they have apprehended the man wanted in connection with the death of his 72-year-old mother.
Mark Wilson, 42, was taken into custody just before 7 p.m. Wednesday, according to authorities, when the suspect's vehicle was found at the QuikTrip located at the intersection of Grayson Highway (S.R. 20) and Simonton Road. This location is less than two miles from the scene of the crime. Wilson was arrested without incident. He is charged with felony murder and aggravated assualt for allegedly taking his mother's life. Phyllis Wilson, who was partially paralyzed, was found dead inside her home on Simonton Glen Way Tuesday morning by her husband and caretaker.
