Hall Co. Schools superintendent honored with UGA awardBy Katie Crumley Access Insider GAINESVILLE - A distinguished award from the University of Georgia is being given to the man at the helm of the Hall County School System.
Superintendent Will Schofield is being honored with the UGA College of Education Distinguished Alumni Award for Professional Achievement. It's a distinction well-deserved, according to Oakwood Elementary School Principal Dr. Shane Rayburn. "I think that they looked at who was someone who has made a significant difference in the landscape of schools and how schools function, and he's clearly done that here," said Rayburn. Schofield is set to accept the award at a dinner in Athens Friday night. Rayburn said Schofield was likely chosen because of his positive influence on everyone in the school system from students to administrators. © Copyright 2013 AccessNorthGa.com
