BUFORD – Class AAA No.1 Buford rebounded from its first loss of the season Tuesday with a 12-0, four-inning win over Banks County in Region 7-AAA girls softball action.
The Lady Wolves (13-1, 4-0 in region) got going quickly in the second with a two-run home run from Jordan Deep. Buford then exploded for 10 runs on eight hits in the second inning to blow the game open.
Senior Bekah Rude (4-0) went the distance allowing three hits and striking out two to get the win.
Drew Puckett had two hits, three RBI, and scored two runs for Buford. Noah Sudderth also had two hits and three RBI and Alexis Baldy had two hits, one RBI and scored once for the Lady Wolves.
