Volleyball: Lady Vikings drop first two 5-AAA matches

ATLANTA – Class AAA No. 7 East Hall dropped its first two Region 5-AAA matches Tuesday on the road.

The Lady Vikings (16-7, 2-2 in region) fell to St. Pius in straight sets 25-15, 25-15 and then fell to Buford in three sets 26-24, 22-25, 25-18.

Brittney Campbell had 11 digs and 31 assists, Tarryn Long had 18 kills and 14 digs, and Emily Hoggard added nine kills, one assist, and nine digs for East Hall. Kara Hix had one assist, two kills and 36 digs while TT Shelton had one ace, two kills and one dig for the Lady Vikings.

Emily Roberts had one ace, one block and four kills for East Hall.

The Lady Vikings next play at the Darlington Invitational on Saturday.
