Softball: Jackson County takes out Oconee County

The Jackson County softball team defeated Oconee County 8-6 on Monday.

Lady Panthers sophomore Peyton Sorrells pitched the first five innings and sophomore Jessica Baker came in and finished the last two innings to pick up the win.

Jackson County senior Andrea Ledford drove in the tying and go-ahead ahead runs in the bottom of the sixth.

Shelton Kendrix also went 2-for-3 with two runs scored and two RBIs, while Jessica Baker also went 2-for-3 with two RBIs. Victoria Fontana also went 3-for-4 with two runs scored and an RBI, and Mason Garland also drove in a run. Madi Pecht also scored two runs for the Lady Panthers.
