Volleyball: Lakeview swept in Athens

The Lakeview Academy volleyball team was swept in Athens on Saturday, losing to Athens Academy (25-18, 25-19), Buford (25-10, 25-8), Rockdale County (25-27, 25-18, 15-9) and Atlanta International School (25-17, 25-16).

Bailey Towles had 17 assists, seven aces and 13 digs for the Lady Lions, while Delaney Jarrett had 15 assists, two aces and seven digs. Katie White contributed 13 kills, 18 digs, and an ace, and Samantha VerSteeg had 32 digs on the day.

Lakeview (14-10) will play Tuesday at Gainesville.
