Thornton plows ahead, as Stephens wallops Habersham, 44-8

TOCCOA -- Stephens County running back Chaz Thornton rumbled for 195 yards and three touchdowns on 17 carries on Friday, as the Indians scalped Habersham Central 44-8 in Toccoa.

Sydnee Mulligan scored Habersham's lone touchdown on a five-yard run.

Stephens County (2-0) will look to keep rolling next week at Hart County.

Habersham Central (0-2) will play host to Collins Hill next week.
