Volleyball: North Hall sweeps, JHS splits in tri-match

MURRAYVILLE The North Hall volleyball team ran its win streak to three after sweeping a pair of matches Thursday at the North Hall gym.

The Lady Trojans (9-6) rallied to beat West Forsyth 18-25, 25-21, 25-18 and then whipped rival Johnson 25-21, 25-16 in the nightcap.

Kristina Gregory had a huge night with 17 assists, 10 kills, and two aces to lead North Hall. Sydney Cleveland had seven kills, two aces, seven digs, and one block while Alesha Lee had seven kills and five blocks for the Lady Trojans.

Allie Staub had five kills, two aces, and four digs while Juliana Paschall had five assists, one block and two kills. Sarah Yoder had seven blocks and three kills and Makenzie Bryant had 12 digs, two aces and one kill for North Hall.

Johnson finished with a split. The Lady Knights opened with a 25-23, 25-12 win over West Forsyth before falling to North Hall.

Savannah Turk paced Johnson with 12 kills and 14 digs in the two matches. Kelly Chance added six aces and nine assists. Lejavian Ratliff had five kills and five digs for Johnson (10-5).

The Lady Knights will jump back into Region 8-AAAA play on Tuesday at Lanier taking on Lumpkin County and the host Lady Longhorns.

North Hall next will travel to West Hall on Monday in a pair of Region 5-AAA matches against the Lady Spartans and Blessed Trinity.
