Lumpkin Co. authorities respond to fuel leakBy Katie Crumley Access Insider DAHLONEGA - Lumpkin County authorities responded to a gas leak at the intersection of Georgia 400 and Highway 60 Thursday morning.
"One of our officers, actually our patrol commander, was going to fuel up at the Chevron and noticed a large amount of gasoline on the ground," said Lumpkin County Sheriff's Lt. Wesley Burnett. Burnett said the patrol commander notified store employees and called the fire department. He said the entrances to the Chevron station were sealed off and the store itself was been shut down while the fuel spill was cleared. Burnett said he is unclear about the cause of the leak at this time. © Copyright 2013 AccessNorthGa.com
