No students hurt in minor bus crash in Oakwood

OAKWOOD - A Hall County School bus was involved in a minor fender bender Wednesday afternoon as it left Johnson High School and was heading toward South Hall Middle School on Atlanta Highway.

"It had just cleared the traffic light at Plainview Road when a car ran the traffic light coming out of Plainview turning on Atlanta Highway and hit the right rear of the bus," said Hall County School System Spokesman Gordon Higgins.

Higgins said 39 students from Johnson were on board but no injuries were reported in connection with the crash.

He said another bus was dispatched to pick up the students from South Hall Middle School and the first bus was released following a short investigation to continue on its route.
